London Girls win back-to-back U15 Regional Development titles
Monday, 01-Oct-2012

London repeated as U15 Girls Regional Development Tournament champions after comfortably defeating the North West 83-48 on Sunday in Kent.
It was the second time London and North West met during the weekend at Medway Park and London came out victorious on both occasions. In pool play, London won 34-23 on Saturday afternoon.
A successful pair of weekends for the capital teams saw both girls and boys win the U15 titles for two years running.
“The U15 Girls’ standard is definitely improving. You can see the influence of the Area Performance Centres. However, there is still work to be done with skill development and regional coaches teaching the British playing style,” said British Basketball Head of Performance Warwick Cann.
“Coaches and regions have done a very good job of identifying new tall talent,” he continued.
