Bradford Dragons are pleased to announce the signing of 6'7" American centre Ricky Fetske. 

 

Fetske comes to Dragons straight out of Fairleigh Dickinson University - Florham in NCAA Division III where he led his team in both rebounds and blocks, posting 7.5 and 1.2 per game respectively. He was known for his high energy and aggressive style of play on both ends of the court, enabling him in his senior year at FDU to be named to the Second Team All-Freedom Conference.

 

Fetske said, "I am excited about joining the Bradford Dragons and competing with them for future championships. The season is right around the corner and we will give our fans something to cheer about!"

 

Dragons Head Coach Chris Mellor is pleased with his latest signing, saying, "Ricky Fetske joins us from Fairleigh Dickinson University in the USA. I think he will be an excellent fit for us, providing us with scoring, rebounding and a dominant presence around the hoop."

 

Fetske is a key piece in the Dragons' roster and will be joining his teammates in the coming days as they look to prepare for the new season which starts in mid September.

 

Bradford tip off the new season away to Derby Trailblazers on 15 September with their first home fixture the following week on Saturday 22 September against local rivals Leeds Carnegie.
