GB U20 Women continued their winless start to the European Championship as fell to a defeat 68-47 at the hands of Italy on Tuesday.

 

Still missing four players due to illness, GB were outplayed in every department by the Italians as they fell to 0-2 in the relegation group.

 

Italy scored 9 of the first 11 points and although GB continued to battle throughout the game the last time they were within single figures was at 39-30 in the early part of the seond half. A 15-4 run by the Italians from then killed off the game.

 

Jess Hurd led the scoring for GB with 16 whilst Giovanna Pertile was the game's top-scorer with 17.

 

GB continue their fight against relegation on Wednesday with a game against Portugal.
