U18 Men overcome slow start to beat Belarus

England U18 Men continued their unbeaten start to the FIBA Europe U18 Men European Championship B Division as they came from behind to defeat Belarus
76-63 on Friday.
The team struggled offensively in the opening moments to fall behind 8-1 and to trail 22-13 after the first quarter.
A 12-3 run to start the second quarter saw them tie up the game and a later 8-0 run had the up 33-30. The Belarussians continued to scrap and led 41-39 at the major break.
Elliott Sentance scored six points early in the third quarter to move England out to a 50-43 lead and a three from Jordan Spencer and a pair of free throws from Rowell Graham saw them out to a double digit advantage at 56-45. Belarus then scored the last eight points of the quarter to make the gap three points going into the fourth period.
A 9-0 run in the middle of the period, capped by a three from Luke Nelson put England into a winning position with a 14 point lead, which was never in danger.
Sentance top scored with 17 points, including making 7 of 9 two point shots, with Rowell Graham (15), Kingsley Okoroh (11) and Luke Nelson (10) all scoring in double figures.
England continue their campaign on Saturday with a game against Romania - who also defeated Belarus earleir in the tournament.
