Great Britain's U20 Men finished a respectable 6th place in the European Championship in Bulgaria after losing their final game,
83-53, to Poland on Sunday.
Alasdair Fraser scored Britain's first two buckets and their 4-3 lead two and a half minutes into the first quarter was the only time they were in front.
Poland was scorching hot from outside, going 13 of 27 from behind the arc for 39 of their final 83 points. Eight different Polish players hit three pointers against Great Britain on Sunday in Sofia.
Coach David Smart gave all 12 of his players a run this final game with Fraser (14 points) and Devon van Oostrum (13 points) again proving to be the offensive threats for GB.
These two players are also third and fourth in the overall U20 European Championship scoring as of Sunday afternoon. Fraser averaged 19.7 points per game and van Oostrum a fraction behind at 19.6. Fraser currently holds the tournament's individual game record for his 37 point effort in overtime against Belgium on Saturday while van Oostrum's 6.4 assists per game average is also the best of the tournament so far.
Jesse Chuku was Great Britain's leader in rebounding (8.4/game, 11th best in tournament) and shot blocking (1.6/game, 5th best in tournament).
