U16 Women defeated once more by Turkey

England's U16 Women failed to pick up their first Division A win in their penultimate game of the tournament as they were beaten 64-34 by Turkey.
 
They stayed with the Turks for much of ther first quarter, but a 9-0 run to start the second saw Turkey's lead jump to double figures and England produced just 6 points in the period to be down by 16 at half-time.
 
Twenty-seven turnovers and 29% shooting told the story for England as they matched their first half total with 17 points in the second half on the way to their lowest offensive output of the tournament so far.
 
Leah McDerment top scored with 12 points and Sadie Russell had a good game with 6 points and 8 rebounds as the team now focus on trying to pick up a win in their final game of the tournament against Germany on Sunday.
