The Medway Park Crusaders have strengthened their bid for EBL Division One Men's glory by signing 6'6" forward Manock Lual - a University of Prince Edward Island graduate.

The 22-year-old will join the Kent-based side for the 2012/13 season, adding a strong inside presence to the Crusaders' already versatile attacking forces.

The Panthers graduate, who ended his fifth season as three-time MVP and all-time UPEI leading rebounder said: "I'm looking forward to this experience and seeing how far we can go together as a programme as well as seeing how much I can improve and grow within my first year."

The Ottawa-born player added, "Anything less than a championship this year will be unacceptable."

Lual is also keen to help develop the young academy players, as he will be coaching at MPC's academy in Northfleet Technical College and working with schools in Medway, as part of his contract.

He said, "My goals for next year are simply to do whatever it takes to win an EBL Championship and become a strong community leader, and help develop skills of youths who are interested in a career in basketball."

MPC Chairman, Jesse Sazant, is pleased to be welcoming Lual to his side this year. He said, "His combination of athleticism, desire and attitude will be a great fit for us. Manock comes from a good programme and will be a real role model to some of our younger guys showing how to give themselves the best chance to succeed in basketball."
