Leeds Carnegie will look to keep up their perfect start to the season when they host Division One newcomers Brixton Topcats on Saturday afternoon in the Women's Division 1.
It will be the first league meeting between the two clubs and they go into the game with contrasting records. Leeds have won their opening five games and with leaders UWIC Archers not in action they can return to the top of the table.
Meanwhile, Brixton are yet to take a Division One victory after five attempts, but in contrast to the other two sides searching for that first win, have only lost by an average of 8.4 points per game.
The London side will be looking out for Leeds' pair Loui Hall and Jo Clayden, who are second and third in the scoring charts with 24.5 and 21 points per game respectively.
Third place City of Sheffield Hatters can move level with Archers if they return from London Mets with a victory. Hatters go into the game with a 5-1 record, while Mets are currently eight with one win from four games.
Champions Sheffield had two big wins against Mets on their way to the title last season. Sarah Naylor poured in 34 points for the Hatters as they won 102-59 at home in November, with Steph Gandy adding 23 points, and they repeated the trick with a 90-57 victory in the capital.
Gandy was replaced as Sheffield's American in the summer by Shanna Oaddams and she is currently second in the rebounding charts with 11.5 boards per game.
Fourth-placed Team Northumbria will hope for their sixth win in eight games when they host basement side Wellingborough Phoenix.
It will be the first meeting between the two teams and Phoenix are still searching for their first victory in the top flight having lost their first five games by an average of 54.8 points per game, but they'll need to be aware of Northumbria's Ta'Yani Clark who is pulling down an impressive 17.5 rebounds per game.
Two sides who have each won three league games this season meet at ACS Cobham where London Heathrow Acers host a Sevenoaks Suns side who have played two more league games than them. The game is a dress rehearsal for the following day's National Cup quarter-final at the same venue.
Acers certainly enjoyed both league games against the Suns last season, winning by 30 points on each occasion. Twenty-three points apiece from Bruczko and Flo Piano helped the Acers to an 84-54 home win in November and a strong first half paved the way for a 88-58 win in Kent three months later.
Birmingham A's and Barking Abbey will both be looking to put poor starts to the season behind them when they meet in the midlands. A's are still looking for their top flight victory having lost their five games by an average of 44.8 points
Barking are ninth in the table with a 1-4 record, but their four losses have all come against teams currently in the top four.
Australian Natalie Stafford has certainly made an impact for Abbey this season. The 32-year old - a teacher currently living in east London - is averaging 31 points per game and leading the league in two-point shooting; she is also fourth in foul shooting and fifth from behind the arc.
