England Basketball UKCC Courses
 
Any person, club or organisation wishing to run an England Basketball UKCC Coaching Course will need to complete the Course Application Form and return it to Katherine Robinson at Sport Structures the England Basketball National Recognised Centre for UKCC Basketball courses. Your proposed venue will need to meet the Awarding Body (1st4Sport Qualifications) Criteria for running a UKCC course -
 
Sport Structures will be responsible for -
  • Registering the course with 1st4Sport and informing England Basketball
  • Registering tutors / assessors / venues
  • Communicating with tutors regarding the course
  • Sending the appropriate information to candidates registered on the course prior to the course starting
  • Registering candidates with 1st4Sport
  • Obtaining certification for competent candidates
  • Manage payments from candidates and to tutors and 1st4Sport
The course organiser must -
  • Complete the Basketball course organiser form and send to Sport Structures at least six weeks prior to the start date of the course
  • Confirm that the facility meets the requirements specified
  • Refer candidates that meet the prerequisites of the qualification
  • Ensure all candidates complete a booking form
  • Send candidate details (i.e. application forms) to Sport Structures 1 week prior to the start of the course
  • Pay for the facility hire
  • Confirm with Sport Structures payment options for the qualification
  • Conform to England Basketball and Sport Structures' policies and procedures
  • Inform Sport Structures if there are any changes to the facility hire / candidate numbers
  • Inform Sport Structures if the course will not be going ahead within 2 weeks of the course start date
England Basketball Technical Awards
 
Any person wishing to run an England Basketball technical award course (not UKCC) will need to complete the Course Application Form and return it to Chris Brown at England Basketball. APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE RETURNED TO CHRIS BROWN WITH THE APPROPRIATE FEE ENCLOSED. Applications received without payment are unable to be processed.
 
In order to deliver the UKCC courses, organisers and venues will need to become approved delivery sites with 1st4sport Qualifications. Application forms and further details on becoming an approved delivery centre are available by contacting 1st4sport Qualifications on 0113 201 5470.
